James "Mac" McCurry was born in Gastonia, N. Carolina, and grew up in Hartwell, Georgia. He accepted God's call into Christian ministry at the age of 15. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education from Erskine College in Due West, S. Carolina. He served part-time in various churches until becoming a pastor in 1995, after earning a Master of Divinity Degree from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. We received him with great joy at PVN in November 2001. Since then, he has served on several committees with the Floyd County Baptist Association.
Mac has been married for 15 wonderful years to Andrea Moyer McCurry. The have 3 children: Rachel, Laura, and Caleb. Andrea somehow manages to care lovingly for her family while devoting countless hours to many of PVN's ministries, including children's activities, music, drama, and women's Bible studies. She often sings solos, or duets or trios with daughters Rachel & Laura.
Mac is pleased to be one of a growing number of Eagle Scouts in our community. His favorite leisure activities include golf, reading, and spending time with his family. He played on his college's tennis team, took a 16-year hiatus, and resumed playing last year. Tennis, anyone?

He graduated from Ringgold High, received his Associate Degree from Truett McConnell College, a Bachelor of Arts from Mercer University, and both Bachelor and Master of Divinity degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Clyde married Miss Alicia Bentley in 1956, and she is still his sweetheart! Together they raised two children, Dr. Frank Hapton of Armuchee, and Johnna Hampton Walker of California. They delight in their four grandchildren: Ben and Laura Hampton, and Cleo and Jace Walker. Miss Alicia teaches a ladies' Sunday School clas, and often accompanies Pastor Clyde as he visits PVN members. They are both very active in the PVN Pilgrims.
After retiring from full-time ministry, the Hamptons moved to Armuchee, and Pastor Clyde was called to serve as Interim Pastor at PVN from May through November of 2001. After the arrival of Pastor Mac, he was called to remain at PVN as part-time Associate Pastor. He has also served as Chairman of the Georgia Baptist Endowment Committee, on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention, as Moderator of the Hebron Baptist Association, as Moderator of the Georgia Baptist Association, and as Chairman of the Floyd County Baptist Association's Christian Social Committee.

After leaving the military he teamed up with the NASA program in Houston, TX and worked for Lockheed Martin/Jacobs Engineering. After serving churches in Houston, TX and Augusta, GA, God called Bob to PVN in March of 2010.
Bob has been married to Suzanne Weatherford Agan for the past 12 years (and counting). A native of North Carolina, she is his partner in ministry and works as a teacher for Pepperell High School. She too has surrendered her life to serving God wherever He takes them in the ministry. God has blessed them with 1 wonderful daughter, Gabrielle Marie Agan, who is 10 years old. Together, they have a passion to take the message of Jesus to young people. They believe it to be a message that is taught from the Word but lived out in their life!
Eric is a native of Rome, GA and a graduate of Armuchee High School. After graduation, he pursued a ten year career in his familyís business before returning to college and completing a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2005. He was hired three weeks after graduation by Shorter University in Rome to maintain its website and eventually promoted to Systems Administrator.
It was during his tenure at Shorter that Eric felt Godís call to the ministry. Even though he had sensed His calling earlier in life, it was while assisting and working alongside employees at Shorter that he knew the love for people, their salvation, and the glory of God should be His primary purpose. In November, 2010, he surrendered to the ministry. Since 2011, God has graciously provided to Eric through the confidence of the PVN church the opportunity to serve as Childrenís Minister where he is enjoying the role of ministering to children and promoting the name of Christ.
